About the Program
Rural Enterprise Advancement and Resilience (REAR) Malawi – Innovative Business Challenge initiative aligns with the second phase of the More Income and Employment in Rural Areas (MIERA) program, contributing to the overarching goal of enhancing employment and income in rural communities in Malawi.
REAR Malawi Innovative Business Challenge aims at providing business development support services for 9 emerging enterprises across Northern Malawi through capacity building interventions including training workshops, coaching and mentoring, investment readiness and network linkages with industry players across the ecosystem.
Problem Statement
Most enterprises working in rural areas lack proper business analysis and planning that can enhance their business operations and make them more investment ready.
The project aimed at strengthening the business operations capacity for the 9 enterprises in Agriculture value chain operating in Northern Malawi through training, tailored coaching and linkages to key stakeholders in the industry.
